As part of the activities of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering Department, an awareness initiative was carried out through the distribution of a brochure entitled: **“Together Towards a Psychologically Safe University Environment.”** The activity aimed to promote awareness of the importance of mental health within the university campus and to spread a culture of mutual support among students.
This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to supporting the psychological well-being of students alongside their academic and practical development, recognizing its direct impact on academic performance and the development of balanced, resilient personalities capable of facing challenges.
The activity was implemented by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar, Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, and Technician Mohammed Habib. The brochure included practical guidance on managing academic stress, enhancing psychological balance, and emphasizing the importance of seeking help when needed.
This initiative is part of a series of activities through which the department seeks to create a supportive and psychologically safe educational environment that fosters cooperation, belonging, and a positive university atmosphere.
