As part of the awareness activities of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering Department, a brochure entitled **“Mental Health Is Not a Luxury… Ask for Help When Needed”** was distributed to highlight the importance of mental health as a fundamental necessity equal to physical health. This initiative aimed to enhance psychological awareness among students and encourage them to express their feelings and seek support when facing academic pressures or personal challenges, contributing to a more understanding and psychologically safe university environment. The activity was carried out by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar, Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, and Technician Mohammed Habib. The brochure included simple guidance on coping with stress and anxiety, the importance of psychological counseling, and the role of social support in maintaining mental well-being. This activity comes as part of a series of initiatives organized by the department to support students and reinforce the concept that caring for mental health is a shared responsibility that contributes to academic success and personal stability.
