In a distinguished celebratory atmosphere reflecting the University’s recent achievements, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, inaugurated the Grand Celebrations Hall during an official ceremony held in conjunction with the outstanding success of the EURAS Academy 2026 Forum and the attainment of advanced positions by several academic departments in the Iraqi national rankings. The event was attended by the senior leadership, along with a large gathering of faculty members and university staff. The inauguration represents a qualitative addition to the academic and cultural infrastructure of Al-Mustaqbal University and reflects the University Presidency’s vision of providing modern venues for scientific dialogue and hosting major academic events, in line with its institutional modernization and sustainable development strategy. In his address, the University President emphasized that these achievements are the result of strategic planning and teamwork, expressing his appreciation to all academic, administrative, and technical staff. He noted that collective effort and strong institutional belonging have played a central role in enhancing the University’s standing. Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, stated that the inauguration coincides with a pivotal milestone represented by the successful hosting of EURAS Academy 2026, the first high-level international academic event of its kind hosted by an Iraqi university. The forum witnessed wide participation from representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the President of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), Professor Dr. Mustafa Aydin, as well as university presidents and academic leaders. He added that selecting Al-Mustaqbal University to host this event reflects its academic reputation, institutional credibility, and progress in education quality, research, and international academic partnerships. The ceremony included documentary screenings highlighting the University’s journey and the key activities of EURAS Academy. It also featured the honoring of the committees that worked diligently to ensure the success of EURAS Academy 2026 and departments and staff who contributed to achieving advanced national rankings, in recognition of their efforts in strengthening institutional performance. The event concluded by reaffirming Al-Mustaqbal University’s role as an active academic platform representing Iraq in international scientific forums and contributing to academic diplomacy and knowledge-based partnerships.
