In support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a health awareness campaign on Wednesday, 18/2/2026. The campaign was conducted by first-year students under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen Al-Khafaji, Head of the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques.
The campaign included educating students on the importance of adhering to proper health behaviors to limit the spread of infectious diseases. It also provided guidance on recommended respiratory hygiene practices, including covering the mouth and nose with a tissue or the inner elbow when coughing or sneezing, as well as emphasizing the necessity of regular handwashing and hand sanitization.
The primary objective of the campaign was to promote health awareness among students and academic and administrative staff regarding proper cough and sneeze etiquette, and to strengthen a culture of prevention against respiratory diseases within the university environment.
This initiative reflects the College and Department’s commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy educational environment, reinforcing the concept of social responsibility, and promoting preventive behaviors among students in a manner that contributes to safeguarding public health and reducing infection rates.
