Under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker, the first specialized laboratory for the Aesthetic and Laser Techniques Department at Al-Mustaqbal University was inaugurated on 21/2/2026, with the aim of supporting the practical aspect and enhancing students’ applied skills. The opening ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Mudaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, as well as the Head of the Aesthetic and Laser Techniques Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Fatimah Hashim Abbas, in addition to a number of faculty members and students. The laboratory includes modern educational devices, such as an AI-based skin analysis device that provides accurate reports on skin health indicators and assists students in proper scientific diagnosis, a Diode Laser training device for hair removal equipped with a cooling system to ensure safety during practical training, and a PINXEL RF Microneedle device used to stimulate collagen production and reduce scars and acne marks. The lab also contains educational microscopes and a centrifuge to support laboratory training. During the inauguration, the teaching assistant Huda Rafid presented a brief overview of the devices and their mechanisms, highlighting their importance in developing students’ skills and preparing them for the labor market. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq.
