The College of Education Council held its seventh meeting on Sunday morning, February 22, 2026, chaired by the Dean, Professor Dr. Ahmed Radwan Salman, and attended by the Vice Deans and Heads of Academic Departments. The meeting focused on developing academic performance and strengthening the college's academic progress. The council began its proceedings by discussing several strategic initiatives aimed at improving the educational process. A proposal to establish new academic departments was discussed, including: Mathematics, Arabic Language, Chemistry, and Computer Science. This initiative responds to the demands of the job market and expands the range of specializations available to students. The council emphasized the necessity of providing suitable infrastructure and attracting qualified academic staff to ensure a solid academic foundation for these departments, in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements. The council also discussed preparations for the first-year students' semester exams, emphasizing the importance of preparing examination halls and providing a suitable environment to ensure the smooth conduct of exams, while adhering to examination regulations and guidelines to guarantee fairness and transparency. In another matter, the council addressed the issue of student payments, stressing the importance of considering humanitarian and social aspects and providing all possible accommodations within the established regulations to support students and enable them to continue their studies without obstacles. The session concluded with an emphasis on strengthening teamwork and intensifying coordination between the college administration and academic departments to achieve the desired academic and educational goals and enhance the college's standing as an effective educational institution serving the community and preparing scientifically and professionally qualified personnel.
