Digital Transformation… Our Confident Step Toward a Global Smart University

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an extensive meeting attended by the university’s vice presidents, deans and their deputies, heads of academic departments, and IT representatives, aimed at establishing a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen the university’s position as an advanced digital academic institution aligned with global standards in administration and education. The meeting included a detailed review of digital transformation initiatives. Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Kitab, Director of Student Affairs, presented an in-depth overview of the advanced HEPIQ software for student information management and the IQ-Learning platform approved by the Ministry, emphasizing the importance of launching a comprehensive training program for college staff to ensure effective implementation and optimal use of digital systems in supporting the educational process. In the area of academic and research platforms, lecturer Ali Ubaid from the IT Department provided a thorough explanation of platforms for managing research, scientific activities, and laboratories, in addition to the “Electronic Workload” platform for faculty members, contributing to the simplification of administrative procedures and enhancing academic efficiency within an integrated digital framework. Moreover, Engineer Wamid Diaa, the University Website Officer, reviewed mechanisms for developing and updating the official university website and regularly uploading scientific activities, thereby enhancing the university’s digital presence and reinforcing its position in the global academic community. The University President commended the efforts in developing these systems, praising the role of the College of Engineering Technologies, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, in supervising the implementation. He emphasized the importance of direct oversight by the deans in applying modern technologies, the serious approach toward integrating artificial intelligence applications in administration and education, and the development of the capabilities of staff and unit heads to keep pace with technological advancement.
