In line with its active international academic presence, Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new scientific milestone through the participation of Professor Mahdi Abadi Mani, Head of the Intelligent Medical Systems Department at the College of Science, in a joint research publication with Dr. Hawra Sharif Hamza from the College of Information Technology at University of Babylon. The research was presented ضمن the proceedings of the Third International Conference on Business Analytics for Technology and Security (ICBATS 2025), held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in 2025. The research is entitled: “Deep Transfer Learning Based on 5G Service Classification for Scarce Datasets in 5G Networks.” The study proposes an advanced model based on deep learning and transfer learning techniques to enhance 5G service classification, particularly in scenarios characterized by data scarcity—one of the major challenges facing real-world artificial intelligence applications. The proposed model contributes to improving network efficiency, enhancing Quality of Service (QoS), and supporting intelligent applications that rely on modern telecommunications infrastructure. This achievement reflects fruitful academic collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Babylon and highlights the leading role of Iraqi researchers in advancing the fields of artificial intelligence, advanced communications, data analytics, and smart technologies at the international level. The research also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), by developing innovative technological solutions that strengthen digital infrastructure and support digital transformation.
