The Quality Assurance Committee in the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques held its regular weekly meeting, attended by the Head of the Department, members of the Quality Committee, and several faculty and staff members. The meeting was conducted as part of the ongoing efforts to ensure the implementation of academic and administrative quality standards and to enhance institutional performance. The meeting addressed several key topics, including follow-up on the implementation of the department’s strategic plan, review of performance indicators related to academic and practical aspects, and evaluation of the educational process within the laboratories and adherence to approved standard procedures. Periodic reports concerning laboratory safety were also reviewed, with emphasis placed on the importance of complying with occupational safety guidelines to maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff. During the meeting, the Quality Committee highlighted the importance of continuous documentation of scientific activities and training workshops, and stressed the value of teamwork in achieving the department’s goals and advancing the quality of educational and research services. A number of developmental proposals were also presented to improve educational outcomes and enhance students’ practical competencies. At the conclusion of the meeting, the department leadership emphasized the necessity of continuing weekly meetings to monitor the implementation of recommendations and address any challenges that may arise, ensuring the sustainability of quality and the achievement of academic excellence in the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques.
