Guidance Workshop to Enhance Academic Competence and Practical Skills

A guidance workshop was held for students and delivered by Asst. Lecturer Abdulkhaleq Mahdi Abdul Kareem, Academic Advising Officer, in the presence of Dr. Ammar Abdul Kadhim Fathi, Head of the Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies Department, and Dr. Mohammed Maytham Ubaid, Scientific Affairs Officer. The workshop focused on providing academic guidance to students, introducing them to the study requirements, and highlighting the main scientific and research pathways within the specialization of Fuel and Energy Technologies. It also addressed ways to enhance their scientific and practical skills in order to prepare them effectively for the labor market and strengthen their readiness to engage in modern energy fields and keep pace with rapid developments in this vital sector. The workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting academic support and lifelong learning opportunities, Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by encouraging awareness of modern and efficient energy technologies, and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through supporting scientific research and developing technical competencies that contribute to sustainable development. The event was organized as part of the ongoing academic activities at almustqbual university aimed at enhancing educational quality and linking academic outcomes with sustainable development priorities.
