In a significant scientific achievement, Asst. Lect. Mohammed Younis Jassim, a faculty member at the Department of English Language and Literature, published an international research paper in the 52nd issue of the "Scientific Readings" journal (February 2026). This issue, which includes over 65 distinguished articles, was published under the supervision of Editor-in-Chief Halima Abdel-Rami, in collaboration with Dar Al-Qalam Publishing in Rabat. The research, titled: “The Role of Critical Thinking Skills in English Language Teaching” The study was co-authored with Asst. Lect. Hala Haider Muhi and Asst. Lect. Hamid Khalaf Matar. It offers an in-depth analysis of how critical thinking skills enhance English language pedagogy by developing students' analytical abilities and improving their problem-solving and decision-making skills. This work aligns with modern educational trends that prioritize thought-based learning over traditional methods, further establishing the university's commitment to cognitive and structural development in the digital age.
