The Radiological Techniques Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop entitled “Extremism: Types and Causes” as part of its educational activities aimed at promoting intellectual awareness and reinforcing the values of moderation among students. The workshop was held in conjunction with the International Day for Preventing Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Muhannad Ahmed Sahib and addressed the concept of extremism from intellectual and social perspectives, highlighting its main types and underlying causes. It also discussed its negative impacts on individuals and society, as well as its consequences for community security and stability. The session emphasized the importance of spreading moderate thought, strengthening social responsibility among students, and highlighting the role of academic institutions in preventing extremism through continuous awareness and constructive dialogue.
