As part of strengthening practical skills and bridging theoretical knowledge with laboratory applications, Engineer Tabarak Mohsin Ashour conducted an applied scientific workshop for third-year students on the Heat Transfer Pin Fin apparatus. The workshop included a detailed explanation of the device components, its operating principles, and the correct experimental procedures, along with clarification of fundamental heat transfer concepts and the role of extended surfaces (fins) in improving thermal energy transfer efficiency in engineering applications. The session also covered data recording methods and result analysis to ensure accurate scientific understanding. Following the theoretical and practical explanation, students operated the apparatus themselves under direct supervision to confirm their full comprehension and enhance their laboratory competencies. This workshop contributed to strengthening students’ technical capabilities and practical engagement in line with labor market requirements and modern developments in thermal engineering and energy fields. The activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by promoting applied education and advancing technical efficiency in heat and energy systems.
