The activity was titled:
“A Specialized Applied Workshop to Enhance Practical Understanding of the Heat Transfer Pin Fin Apparatus.”
The workshop was delivered by Engineer Tabarak Mohsen Ashour to third-year students. It included a detailed explanation of the components of the Heat Transfer Pin Fin device, its operating mechanism, and the method of use, along with a review of the fundamental concepts of heat transfer and the importance of thermal fins in improving the efficiency of thermal energy transfer in engineering applications.
The session also covered the process of recording readings and analyzing results to ensure precise scientific understanding. After the theoretical explanation, students operated the device themselves under direct supervision to strengthen their practical skills and develop hands-on abilities in line with labor market requirements and recent advancements in energy and thermal engineering.
The activity aimed to enhance applied learning, improve students’ technical competencies in energy and heat transfer, and prepare graduates capable of innovating and contributing to the development of thermal engineering systems.
This activity falls within the pillar of empowerment and development and reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to support applied education and link theoretical knowledge with practical application, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
