Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, as well as the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences, Dr. AbdulKadhim AbdulKareem, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences organized a scientific workshop entitled:
“AI Ethics Between Values and Challenges”, delivered by Teaching Assistant Banen Nazem on Monday, 23/2/2026, with the attendance of several department students.
The workshop highlighted the concept of AI ethics and the importance of adhering to human values in the development of intelligent systems, emphasizing principles such as transparency, fairness, privacy protection, and social responsibility. It also addressed major ethical challenges associated with modern technologies, including algorithmic bias, data security, and the impact of AI on decision-making processes.
The session witnessed active student engagement through questions and discussions, contributing to raising awareness about the responsible use of technology and strengthening their understanding of their future role in developing safe and sustainable technological solutions.
This activity comes as part of the department’s ongoing scientific initiatives aimed at supporting the educational process and aligning with the university’s vision of preparing qualified graduates who combine technical expertise with ethical awareness.
