In line with the strategic directions of Mustaqbal University toward adopting comprehensive digital transformation, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an expanded meeting attended by the Vice Presidents, College Deans and their Assistants, Heads of Academic Departments, and representatives of the Information Technology Department. The meeting was also attended by the Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Prof. Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayem.
The meeting was held within the framework of formulating an integrated executive vision aimed at strengthening the University’s digital infrastructure and upgrading administrative and academic work mechanisms in accordance with international standards in higher education. The session included a detailed presentation on the axes of digital transformation, during which Asst. Prof. Dr. Amin Kitab, Director of Student Affairs, provided an overview of the HEPIQ Student Information Management System and the accredited IQ-Learning educational platform. He emphasized the importance of launching specialized training programs for college staff to ensure effective implementation and maximize the benefits of digital systems.
In support of the academic and research environment, lecturer Ali Obaid from the Information Technology Department reviewed systems for managing research, scientific activities, and laboratories, in addition to the “Electronic Teaching Load” platform for faculty members, which contributes to simplifying procedures and enhancing performance efficiency within an integrated electronic framework. Engineer Wameed Diaa, the University’s website administrator, also delivered a presentation on mechanisms for developing the official website and regularly updating its content, stressing the importance of activating the websites of academic departments, including the website of the Department of Anesthesia Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, to reflect their academic and scientific activities and strengthen the University’s digital presence.
The President of the University commended the efforts exerted in implementing digital transformation projects, praising the role of college deanships in direct follow-up and supervision of modern systems. He further emphasized the importance of expanding the use of artificial intelligence applications in administrative and educational fields, alongside developing staff competencies to keep pace with rapid technological advancements. This meeting embodies the University’s commitment to a strategic vision for building a smart and sustainable educational environment based on innovation and modern technologies in support of the academic mission.
