In a continuous effort to develop infrastructure and enhance the institutional environment, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, inaugurated the new University Council Hall. Designed and executed according to the highest international standards in engineering and technical equipment, the hall aims to keep pace with modern university governance requirements and enhance the efficiency of administrative work and academic decision-making. The inauguration coincided with the convening of the seventh session of the University Council for the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by Dr. Majdi and attended by the vice presidents and deans. The session began with the University President congratulating the council members, faculty, staff, and students on the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, emphasizing that this achievement is part of an integrated strategic vision to elevate the infrastructure supporting academic work in alignment with institutional accreditation and international standards. During the session, the President issued several directives focused on enhancing the quality of education, supporting scientific research, accelerating digital transformation and clean energy initiatives, and expanding local and international academic partnerships. He also highlighted the importance of showcasing the university's achievements across digital and professional platforms. Furthermore, the Council praised the recent milestones achieved by various university departments, notably the College of Pharmacy obtaining American accreditation and the Department of Power Mechanics Techniques leading the program rankings in Iraq, alongside advanced positions secured by other departments in the national rankings. The meeting concluded by reviewing upcoming scientific activities and international conferences, following up on program accreditation requirements, and assessing the status of first-semester examinations, while taking the necessary decisions to support the university’s progress and solidify its prestigious academic standing.
