As part of ongoing efforts to raise environmental awareness and promote responsible behaviors toward the environment, an awareness campaign was organized today that included the distribution of educational brochures on the importance of recycling. The initiative aimed to spread correct environmental concepts and encourage community members to adopt eco-friendly practices.
The activity was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghafar, with the participation of Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, and witnessed positive engagement and interest in the educational content provided.
The brochure provided a simple introduction to the importance of recycling materials such as paper, plastic, metals, and glass, emphasizing the role of every individual in protecting the environment by sorting waste at the source and recycling it instead of disposing of it conventionally. It also included information on the benefits of recycling, such as reducing pollution, conserving natural resources, and supporting the circular economy, along with practical tips to help citizens start implementing these practices in their daily lives.
This initiative comes as part of promoting community responsibility and environmental awareness, contributing to building a more conscious society committed to environmental sustainability for future generations.
