In a bid to strengthen scientific and cultural cooperation between academic institutions, a delegation from the Department of English at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, visited the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Babylon (Department of English) to deliver official invitations to participate in the upcoming “Shakespearean Theatre Festival.”

The delegation was headed by Prof. Dr. Salam Hassan Maki, Head of the Department of English, and included:

Bridging Cultural Collaboration
The visit aimed to deepen academic ties between the two universities, with a focus on the importance of theatrical activities in enhancing students’ linguistic and literary skills. The “Shakespearean Theatre Festival” is a distinguished event that seeks to revive global literary heritage and present well-grounded interpretations of the works of William Shakespeare from a modern academic perspective.
Representatives from the Department of English at the University of Babylon expressed their appreciation for this initiative, emphasizing the significance of collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Babylon in enriching the scientific and cultural scene in the governorate.
Al-Mustaqbal University is the first in Iraq.
