Al-Mustaqbal University signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Qadisiyah University to strengthen scientific and academic partnership.

In a step reflecting its continued commitment to strengthening academic cooperation and expanding areas of scientific partnership, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Qadisiyah University. This initiative comes as part of its strategic direction aimed at reinforcing integration between public and private universities, in accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the university presidency’s vision of institutional openness and the exchange of expertise. The memorandum was signed during an official visit by a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University headed by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University. The delegation included Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Professor Dr. Furat Hamza, Dean of the College of Science; and Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of the Department of Cultural Relations. The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Rahi Al-Yasiri, President of Al-Qadisiyah University, along with the university’s vice presidents and a number of academic leaders. The two sides held an expanded meeting to discuss ways of enhancing joint scientific and research cooperation, as well as mechanisms for coordination in areas of mutual interest. The memorandum covers several key areas, including the implementation of joint scientific research, mutual participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops, exchange of academic visits, and joint supervision of postgraduate students. It also includes benefiting from shared expertise in supporting sustainable development goals, developing faculty capacities, organizing summer training programs for students, and updating curricula in line with scientific advancements. This step reflects the commitment of both universities to advancing the quality of higher education and achieving a sustainable scientific and developmental impact that serves the community and promotes research and innovation Al-Mustaqbal University, the first university in Iraq.
