As part of its strategic vision to expand academic collaboration and reinforce integration between public and private universities, Al-Mustaqbal University signed a joint scientific and academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Qadisiyah University. The agreement aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the University Presidency’s commitment to institutional openness, knowledge exchange, and strengthening national partnerships.
The MoU was signed during an official visit by a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University, headed by Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, accompanied by senior academic leaders. The delegation was received by the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Al-Yasiri, his assistants, and other senior officials. The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for joint scientific and research cooperation and activating academic programs that enhance the educational and research environment at both universities.
Key areas of the Memorandum include implementing joint research projects, participating in conferences, seminars, and workshops, exchanging academic visits, jointly supervising postgraduate students, offering summer training programs for students, updating curricula, and building faculty capacities. These initiatives aim to elevate the quality of higher education and improve academic outcomes.
The partnership also aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by developing academic programs and enhancing educational quality, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through supporting joint research and innovation, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), which emphasizes the importance of institutional collaboration in achieving sustainable development.
This agreement reflects the commitment of both universities to leveraging their academic and research capabilities to serve the community, strengthen higher education, and foster sustainable scientific and developmental impact.
