Strategic Cooperation to Enhance Educational and Urban Development in Babil

In a move to strengthen collaboration and advance local development, Al-Mustaqbal University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, received the Governor of Babil, Mr. Ali Turki, during an official field visit aimed at expanding joint cooperation. During the visit, discussions focused on elevating higher education in the province, exploring mechanisms for coordination between the university and local government, and supporting developmental projects that contribute to the scientific and urban advancement of the region. The Governor toured the university’s campus to observe the significant progress in infrastructure development. The visit included reviewing ongoing projects such as internal road improvements and organized parking facilities, reflecting the university’s continuous efforts to provide a fully integrated academic environment for students and contribute to the city’s growth and cultural heritage, referred to as "Babil Al-Hadara." The Governor commended the exceptional efforts of Al-Mustaqbal University’s leadership, highlighting its role as a pioneering model in combining academic excellence with urban development. This strategic cooperation aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing the higher education environment, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through campus and urban infrastructure development, and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting well-planned urban growth that serves both students and the broader community.
