Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, the respected, and as part of the College of Law’s activities in the field of woman rights, the College of Law organized a scientific seminar entitled “Ensuring the Protection of Women from Gender-Based Violence”, on satrday, January 24, 2026, in the College Hall – Humanities Building. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Wiam Fadel, a faculty member at the College of Law. The seminar addressed the national and international legal frameworks for protecting women from various forms of gender-based violence, highlighting the importance of legislation and preventive policies, as well as the role of academic institutions in promoting community awareness, spreading a culture of respect for human rights, and supporting the principles of justice and equality in a way that contributes to creating a safe and stable environment. The seminar also witnessed active engagement from the attendees through discussions and interventions that focused on ways to strengthen legal protection for women and activate institutional mechanisms to reduce manifestations of violence.
