The Biochemistry Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a practical scientific workshop titled “Capillary Electrolysis” on Sunday, 22/2/2026, at 9:30 AM in Laboratory CL14. The workshop targeted second-year students, Biology Group 1, and is part of a series of scientific activities aimed at enhancing students’ practical skills and connecting theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory experience.
The workshop focused on the fundamental principles of capillary electrolysis and its role in analyzing chemical compounds and biological samples. Students were guided step by step through the experimental procedures, including connecting electrical circuits, calibrating equipment, and accurately interpreting results. The session provided a live demonstration of laboratory techniques, allowing students to observe and understand the practical applications of electrochemical methods in biochemistry.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from students, who participated in scientific discussions and asked numerous questions. This interaction helped clarify theoretical concepts and showed how they relate to practical applications in medical, pharmaceutical, and research fields. Students gained valuable hands-on experience, strengthening their ability to perform precise laboratory work and enhancing their analytical and critical thinking skills.
Organizers emphasized that practical workshops like this are essential for developing students’ research abilities, improving academic achievement, and preparing them for future scientific and professional challenges.
This workshop is part of the Biochemistry Department’s ongoing efforts to support the educational process, strengthen students’ practical competencies, and align with the latest scientific and professional standards in the field of biochemistry.
