As part of a strategic initiative to strengthen scientific partnership and broaden the horizons of academic collaboration, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, signed a joint Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Al-Qadisiyah. This step aligns with the directives of the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of promoting institutional openness and the exchange of scientific expertise.
The MoU was signed during an official visit by a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University headed by Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi. The delegation included Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; Professor Dr. Furat Hamza, Dean of the College of Science; and Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of the Cultural Relations Department. The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Rahi Al-Yasiri, President of the University of Al-Qadisiyah, along with the Vice Presidents and several academic leaders. During the meeting, both sides discussed mechanisms for joint scientific and research collaboration and coordinated efforts in areas of mutual interest.
The Memorandum of Understanding encompasses several key areas, most notably:
Conducting joint scientific research projects.
Participating in conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Exchanging academic visits and co-supervising postgraduate students.
Benefiting from practical experiences to support sustainable development goals and enhance faculty capacity building.
Providing summer training opportunities for students and updating academic curricula to improve the quality of higher education and achieve sustainable scientific and developmental impact.
This initiative reflects the commitment of both universities to advancing education and scientific research, strengthening academic integration, and serving students, the academic community, and society at large.
