A scientific seminar entitled: “Women Between Rights and Duties.”

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law, Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, and as part of the College of Law’s activities in the field of women’s rights, the College of Law organized a scientific seminar entitled “Women Between Rights and Duties”, on Monday, January 16, 2026, at the College Hall – Humanities Building. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Mona Kazem, a faculty member at the College of Law. The seminar addressed the legal and social frameworks regulating women’s rights and duties in light of national legislation and international standards, highlighting the importance of achieving a balance between rights and responsibilities, as well as the role of academic institutions in promoting community awareness, spreading a culture of respect for human rights, and reinforcing the principles of justice and equality in a way that contributes to building a balanced and stable society. The seminar also witnessed active engagement from attendees through discussions and interventions that focused on the current state of women’s rights, the challenges they face, and ways to support women both legally and socially.
