Under the patronage and supervision of the staff of the Artificial Intelligence Technologies Department, and with the participation of Dr. Zahraa Hashem Karim, Head of the Department, and Dr. Murtadha Abbas, Department Rapporteur, a recreational–cultural trip was organized for first-year students to the Babylon, as part of the department’s commitment to supporting the psychological and cultural well-being of its students.
This initiative aimed to enhance students’ psychological state, break the routine of academic life, and provide them with a field opportunity to closely explore the rich historical heritage of Babylon. The visit contributed to strengthening their cultural and historical awareness, fostering a sense of national identity, and reinforcing bonds of cooperation and communication between students and faculty members within a positive and balanced academic environment.
This activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting comprehensive learning that integrates theoretical knowledge with field-based experience.
Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, through supporting mental health and offering recreational activities that contribute to psychological balance.
Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, by raising awareness of cultural heritage and the preservation of archaeological sites.
These activities fall within the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University – the first among private universities in Iraq – which seeks to build a well-rounded student personality academically, culturally, and socially, while providing a supportive university environment that combines academic excellence with meaningful extracurricular activities.
