In the presence of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the 2026 Information Bank Competition concluded on Tuesday evening, February 24, 2026. The competition was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, organized by the Student Activities Department, and hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University as part of its ongoing support for purposeful student activities and its commitment to enhancing its academic presence in Iraq. The competition witnessed wide participation, with (58) public and private universities from various Iraqi governorates taking part. The competition ran from February 22-24, 2026, during which student teams competed in two days of intensive qualifying rounds under the supervision of the relevant ministerial committee, in a highly competitive and academically stimulating atmosphere characterized by seriousness and sportsmanship. The final results were as follows: • Al-Sibtain University for Medical Sciences won first place. • Al-Mustaqbal University won second place. • Wasit University won third place. At the conclusion of the event, the University President expressed his gratitude to the participating universities, the members of the ministerial committee, and the organizing committees, commending their efforts in ensuring the success of this distinguished scientific event. He also congratulated the winning teams, praising their outstanding performance and the high level of scientific knowledge they demonstrated, reflecting the depth of their understanding and the spirit of positive competition they embodied throughout the competition.
