A Specialized Training Workshop for Anesthesia Techniques Students on Endotracheal Intubation Enhances Their Clinical Skills

The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a specialized training workshop for its students on the mechanism of endotracheal intubation and the proper use of the intubation device. The workshop was delivered by Instructor Estabraq Rasool Hussein, as part of the department’s commitment to developing students’ practical skills and strengthening their clinical competencies. The workshop included a comprehensive scientific explanation of the approved medical steps for performing endotracheal intubation, beginning with airway assessment and preparation of the necessary equipment, followed by the correct insertion technique and secure fixation of the tube, and concluding with guidance on managing emergency situations and potential complications. The session also featured intensive hands-on training, allowing Anesthesia Techniques students to practice directly under specialized academic supervision, thereby reinforcing theoretical knowledge and transforming it into confident professional practice. Instructor Estabraq Rasool Hussein emphasized that mastering endotracheal intubation is a fundamental skill for anesthesia technicians, given its critical role in securing the airway and maintaining patient stability during surgical procedures and various medical interventions.
