Engineer Maha Mohammed conducted a distinguished scientific workshop in the Electrical Engineering Technology Department titled “Circuit Protection Using Voltage Regulators.” The workshop, aimed at second-year evening students, was supervised by Teaching Assistant Maha Mohammed Shwaish. The workshop provided a detailed explanation of the concept of voltage regulators and their importance in protecting electronic circuits from voltage and current fluctuations. Voltage regulators play a fundamental role in ensuring the stability of electronic systems and protecting them from damage or malfunctions resulting from electrical fluctuations. The workshop also addressed the operating mechanism of regulators and their different types, including linear and switching regulators, highlighting the key differences between them in terms of efficiency and application. The workshop's scientific focus included an explanation of the principles for selecting the appropriate voltage regulator based on the load, current requirements, and heat loss rate. It also emphasized the most important technical criteria that must be considered to ensure safe and stable performance. On the practical side, the lab witnessed direct applications of voltage regulator connection methods within electronic circuits, demonstrating correct connection mechanisms to avoid malfunctions and achieve optimal operational performance. This allowed students to clearly connect theoretical concepts with practical laboratory experiments. The workshop was characterized by remarkable interaction and active participation from the students, which contributed to enhancing their practical skills and developing their ability to analyze technical problems related to voltage stability in electronic circuits. This aligns with the department's focus on supporting practical application and raising the academic level. Al-Mustaqbal University, the leading university in Iraq.
