A specialized scientific workshop titled "Specific Heat of Solids" was held on February 22nd, presented by Asst. Lecturer Ali Jafar, Asst. Lecturer Hamza Abbas, and researcher Zahraa Basim. The workshop featured an analytical study of the thermal properties of solid materials and explored methods for accurately measuring the specific heat capacity using modern laboratory techniques.
The session explored several scientific pillars, most notably the physical laws governing heat exchange and strategies for analyzing material behavior at various temperatures. Additionally, it highlighted the laboratory tools necessary for conducting advanced scientific experiments, emphasizing that understanding the physical properties of materials is a fundamental cornerstone in the architecture of industrial innovation and academic research.
The event concluded with the presentation of methodological recommendations aimed at enhancing students' practical skills in physics laboratories. This initiative aligns with Goal 9 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), by developing scientific and technical capabilities.
