Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Radiological Techniques organized, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 5: Gender Equality—an awareness activity on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
The activity was titled:
“The Role of Women in Political Work”
and was presented by Ms. Naba Hussein Hikmat from the Department of Radiological Techniques.
The event highlighted the importance of empowering women and enhancing their participation in political life and decision-making, while introducing their political rights and emphasizing their role in achieving sustainable development and building a more just and balanced society. It also stressed the importance of developing leadership skills among female students, encouraging them to engage in community work and volunteer initiatives, and fostering a culture of participation and social responsibility.
The activity aims to reinforce the principle of gender equality, support women’s role as active partners in leadership and development, and raise awareness about the importance of their participation in all areas of public life. This initiative is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to support women’s empowerment and enhance their leadership capacities within the university community.
