The Al-Mustaqbal University / Department of Radiological Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized an advanced training workshop entitled “Physics of Medical X-Ray Devices and Their Practical Applications,” delivered by the distinguished instructors Marwa Atta Allah and Naba Hussein, with the participation of a large group of students and professionals interested in medical imaging and radiology. The workshop covered a wide range of scientific and practical topics, including: The fundamental physical principles of medical X-ray devices and understanding how X-rays are produced and interact with different tissues. The scientific foundations of radiographic imaging and techniques for enhancing image quality to ensure accurate medical diagnosis. Methods for measuring radiation doses and following safety procedures to protect patients and medical staff. Practical applications in university laboratories, including using physics knowledge to troubleshoot technical issues and improve device performance. The latest scientific and technological developments in X-ray devices, contributing to the advancement of future professionals in the field. The workshop also focused on enhancing students’ practical skills, developing their ability to operate devices with confidence and precision, and encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving when addressing technical challenges. Emphasis was placed on adhering to safety standards and professional procedures when working with radiological equipment.
