Al-Mustaqbal University / College of Health and Medical Technologies organized an advanced training workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Applied Anatomy in the Medical Laboratory,” delivered by the distinguished instructors Farah Alaa Hamza and Riyam Raad Lazem, attended by a group of students and medical laboratory enthusiasts. The workshop aimed to introduce the fundamentals of applied anatomy and emphasize the importance of understanding major anatomical structures and their functions in medical laboratory work, linking theoretical knowledge with practical laboratory applications. The workshop covered key areas, including: Reviewing the essential anatomical structures of the human body and their physiological functions. Explaining the relationship between anatomy and laboratory techniques, and how anatomical knowledge can be applied in sample analysis and medical diagnosis. Practical applications of anatomical knowledge using laboratory equipment and techniques to enhance students’ understanding of hands-on practices. Developing precise observation and analytical skills when handling samples and laboratory instruments. The workshop also encouraged critical thinking and the integration of theory with practice, aiming to improve participants’ practical competence and prepare them for careers in healthcare and laboratory fields. This initiative is part of the department’s efforts to develop students’ scientific and practical skills, strengthen their anatomical knowledge, and prepare qualified medical professionals capable of delivering accurate and reliable laboratory services.
