(Workshop on Professional Engineering Report Writing Skills)
Presented by Assistant Lecturer Shahad Mahmoud Mohammed from the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies.
The workshop included training students on how to prepare and write engineering reports according to approved academic and professional standards, with a focus on the principles of scientific organization, accuracy in data presentation, and methods of analyzing and discussing results in a clear and systematic manner.
The workshop also addressed common mistakes in report writing and ways to avoid them, in addition to introducing the key components of a professional engineering report—from the title page to conclusions and references—supported by practical examples and exercises that enhanced students’ understanding.
The activity aimed to develop students’ academic and research skills and prepare them in line with labor market requirements in engineering fields, as well as to strengthen their abilities in preparing professional scientific reports.
This activity comes within the pillar of empowerment and development and reflects the department’s efforts to enhance students’ scientific and practical competencies and support their academic and professional journey.
