Under the For a Cleaner and More Beautiful Environment”, and in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation)—Prof. Dr. Saad Abdul Madi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdulhamza Mohammed Al-Alwani, Dr. Razzaq Shaalan Khurshid, and Mr. Dirgham Yousif Jawad conducted a field visit to Al-Yahudiya River, which was recently rehabilitated by **Babil Governorate in Al-Hilla to serve as a recreational area and a public space for the city’s residents.
The visit aimed to promote environmental awareness and emphasize the importance of preserving the cleanliness of the river as a vital public and aesthetic landmark. During the tour, some areas were observed to contain waste disposed of in the river, highlighting the urgent need for community cooperation to maintain the site’s cleanliness and sustainability.
The organizers stressed the importance of spreading environmental awareness and strengthening social responsibility, urging citizens to refrain from littering in the river in order to preserve the city’s beauty, protect public health, and ensure that the area remains a pleasant and sustainable environment for all.
