Building Academic Excellence Through Discipline During the Month of Ramadan

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Engineering Technical College / Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies organized an awareness activity in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), on Wednesday الموافق 26/2/2026. The activity was titled: “Building Academic Excellence Through Discipline During the Month of Ramadan” It was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Shahad Mahmoud Mohammed from the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies. The activity highlighted the importance of utilizing the blessed month of Ramadan to achieve a balance between worship and academic achievement, through effective time management and making the most of periods of high energy for studying. It also emphasized that seeking knowledge is considered an act of worship that reinforces the values of diligence and sincerity. Additionally, the session addressed a set of practical guidelines to help students reduce fatigue during fasting, including maintaining balanced nutrition and regulating sleep hours, which positively impacts concentration and academic performance. The activity aimed to promote a culture of self-discipline among students and to develop their ability to manage time and balance academic and spiritual aspects, thereby contributing to improved academic achievement. This activity falls ضمن the محور of empowerment and development, and reflects the department’s efforts to support the educational process and enhance students’ academic and behavioral awareness.
