An awareness campaign on maternal and child health was organized on Saturday, 22/2/2026, with the participation of Asst. Lect. Huda Nazzal Hussein, Asst. Lect. Bushra Hussein Atiyah, and Lecturer Waqar Jaffat Jassim. The campaign was part of ongoing efforts to promote health education and raise awareness about the importance of maternal and child healthcare.
The campaign highlighted the importance of regular medical follow-ups during pregnancy, proper nutrition, preventive care, as well as the significance of immunization and healthcare for children during their early stages of development. It also addressed key healthy practices that help reduce health complications and support proper child growth.
The organizers emphasized that health education is a fundamental pillar in building a healthy society and reaffirmed the role of academic institutions in serving the community through awareness initiatives aimed at improving public health and overall quality of life.
