The Head of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Department, Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, held a meeting with the department’s Scientific Committee in the presence of committee members and several faculty members. The meeting aimed to discuss the department’s research plan for the upcoming stage and explore mechanisms to develop research activities in a way that enhances the scientific and academic progress. During the meeting, the proposed research plan and its main themes were reviewed. The participants also discussed ways to support researchers and overcome obstacles that faculty members may face in completing their scientific research. Emphasis was also placed on the importance of publishing research in reputable scientific journals indexed in international databases, which contributes to enhancing the standing of both the department and the university in academic rankings. The Head of the Department stressed the need to intensify research efforts and encouraged faculty members to continue publishing scientific papers and participating in conferences and scientific events, highlighting their important role in advancing scientific knowledge and improving the academic level. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to follow up on the implementation of the research plan and to provide the necessary support to faculty members in order to achieve the department’s scientific goals and contribute to strengthening the educational and research process.
