The Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized an educational scientific workshop entitled “World Wildlife Day” on Saturday, 28/2/2026, with the participation of a number of second-year students. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ environmental awareness and introduce the importance of preserving biodiversity. The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Thamer Karim Khudair, Head of the Department of Animal Production, who highlighted the importance of wildlife and its role in maintaining ecological balance. He also shed light on the challenges facing wildlife and the methods required to protect it and ensure its preservation for future generations. The workshop included a presentation addressing the concept of biodiversity and the importance of protecting wild species from extinction, in addition to explaining the role of academic institutions in spreading environmental awareness and strengthening students’ sense of social responsibility. This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Animal Production at the College of Agricultural Technologies to develop students’ knowledge and link academic learning with contemporary environmental issues.
