Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a distinguished academic accomplishment by ranking first among private universities in Iraq and sixth among 76 Iraqi public and private universities listed in the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) for 2026. This achievement clearly reflects the university’s rapid progress in academic and research performance and reinforces its position within the higher education system in Iraq. The SCImago ranking is considered one of the most prominent global rankings that evaluate the performance of universities and research institutions based on a set of objective indicators, including research output, innovation, and societal impact. The ranking relies on reputable international scientific databases. At the level of academic disciplines and subject areas, Al-Mustaqbal University recorded a remarkable presence by achieving advanced positions among Iraqi universities, as follows: • Mechanical Engineering: First place. • Civil and Construction Engineering: First place. • Business Administration and Accounting: Second place.
