Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Radwan Salman, Dean of the College of Education, the Women's Affairs Unit organized an awareness campaign entitled "High Dowries and Their Impact on Women's Delayed Marriage." The campaign was supervised and implemented by the Head of the Women's Affairs Unit, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah.
The campaign included the preparation of colorful awareness posters, which were distributed throughout the college buildings. The aim was to raise awareness among students and the university community about the negative social consequences of exorbitant dowries and to promote moderation and facilitation of marriage, thereby contributing to reducing the phenomenon of delayed marriage among women.
This activity took place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 12:00 PM. It falls within the framework of the implementation plan for the National Strategy for Iraqi Women 2026, Axis Three/Paragraph Two, and contributes to achieving the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (Quality Education) by disseminating community awareness and enhancing student understanding.
