This transformation involves the integration of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, electronic health records, telemedicine platforms, and smart medical devices to improve the quality, accessibility, and efficiency of healthcare services. By digitizing medical records and clinical processes, healthcare institutions can manage patient information more accurately and efficiently, enabling healthcare professionals to access critical data in real time and make informed clinical decisions. Telemedicine technologies have significantly expanded access to healthcare services by allowing patients to consult physicians remotely, reducing travel barriers and improving healthcare availability for individuals in rural or underserved regions. Artificial intelligence applications are increasingly being used in medical diagnostics, particularly in analyzing medical images, predicting disease risks, and supporting early detection of conditions such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Furthermore, wearable health monitoring devices and connected medical equipment allow continuous tracking of patients’ vital signs, enabling proactive healthcare management and personalized treatment strategies. Despite these benefits, digital transformation in healthcare also presents several challenges including cybersecurity risks, data privacy concerns, regulatory compliance issues, and the need for continuous training of healthcare professionals in digital technologies. Addressing these challenges requires strong governance frameworks, secure digital infrastructures, and collaborative efforts between healthcare institutions, technology providers, and policymakers.
