The Department of biology organized an awareness campaign entitled “How Tree Planting Contributes to Protecting Your Health”, under the supervision of Asst. Lect. Zainab Nazim Aziz, on Sunday, March 8, 2026, with the aim of raising students’ awareness about the importance of tree planting and its role in improving environmental and public health. The campaign included educating students about the importance of increasing green spaces and the role of trees in purifying the air and reducing environmental pollution, in addition to providing a healthy environment that contributes to improving the quality of life. During the campaign, several environmental guidelines and information were also presented, emphasizing the importance of preserving trees and planting plants within the university environment due to their positive impact on supporting ecological balance and promoting human health. This campaign comes as part of the awareness activities organized by the Department of biology to spread environmental and health awareness among students and encourage them to adopt positive practices that contribute to protecting the environment and maintaining public health.
