The Department of biology held a scientific workshop entitled “The Art of Listening and How to Deal with Others”, delivered by the department rapporteur Asst. Lect. Jaafar Hamed Jaafar, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in the Humanities Building Hall, for second-year students. The workshop aimed to develop students’ effective communication skills and to emphasize the importance of good listening in building positive relationships based on mutual respect and understanding among individuals. The workshop included an explanation of the most important methods and skills that help students develop their ability for active listening, understand others, and interact with them in a positive manner that contributes to improving the learning environment and interaction within the university community. The workshop also witnessed active participation from students through questions and discussions addressing the most important daily situations that require effective communication skills and the art of listening. This workshop comes as part of the scientific and awareness activities organized by the Department of biology , which aim to develop students’ personal and social skills in addition to enhancing their academic knowledge.
