Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Nursing organized an awareness activity within the third axis (Protecting Women and Combating Violence Against Them) – Drugs section, on Tuesday, February 9, 2026. This activity was held in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being).
The activity was titled “Women and Their Preventive Role in Confronting the Risk of Drugs.” It was presented by:

The session highlighted the health, psychological, and social risks associated with drug abuse, emphasizing its negative impact on individuals and society. It also shed light on the important preventive role that women can play in reducing the spread of this phenomenon.
The speakers reviewed key awareness strategies and community-based mechanisms to prevent drug abuse, stressing the importance of strengthening awareness within the university environment and promoting a culture of prevention among students.
The activity aimed to enhance health awareness among female students, support women’s role in community prevention, and contribute to building a safe and healthy university environment free from risky behaviors.
This event comes as part of the ongoing efforts of the College of Nursing to spread health awareness and promote preventive concepts to reduce negative phenomena affecting individuals and society.
