The Accounting Department at the College of Administrative Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop titled “Home Gardening Techniques and Small Gardens”, as part of efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger).
The workshop was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with direct supervision from the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Dulaimi, and with guidance from the Head of the Accounting Department.
The workshop lecture was delivered by the lecturer Hamed Abbas Mohammed Al-Marzouk, who discussed the importance of home gardening and its role in enhancing food security. He also introduced the most important modern techniques for establishing small gardens and utilizing household spaces to produce food sustainably.
The workshop witnessed active interaction from attendees, including faculty members and students, where several questions and discussions were raised focusing on how these techniques can be practically applied in the local environment. This contributes to spreading the culture of home gardening and supporting efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development.
The workshop was held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 11:30 AM, with the attendance of a number of professors, students, and individuals interested in this field.
