As part of his continuous efforts to develop the educational and research environment and to enhance the level of scientific performance, the Head of the Medical Laboratories Department, Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, conducted an inspection visit to several laboratories of the department to review the workflow and follow up on the scientific and technical aspects within them. During the visit, the Head of the Department reviewed the laboratory equipment and supplies available and observed the procedures used in conducting examinations and practical experiments carried out by students as part of their academic curriculum. He emphasized the importance of adhering to accurate scientific standards and laboratory safety instructions to ensure a safe and effective learning environment. Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza also met with a number of lecturers and technical staff working in the laboratories, listening to their observations and suggestions aimed at improving laboratory work and enhancing the quality of practical training for students. During his discussion, he stressed the importance of keeping pace with modern scientific developments in the field of medical laboratories and working on updating the devices and techniques used in accordance with the needs of the labor market and scientific progress. He further indicated that medical laboratories represent a fundamental pillar in preparing and qualifying students practically, as they provide hands-on opportunities that strengthen theoretical understanding and develop students’ scientific and research skills. He also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between academic and technical staff to achieve the best scientific and educational outcomes. At the end of the visit, the Head of the Department praised the efforts of the academic and technical staff in managing the laboratories, affirming his full support for initiatives aimed at developing laboratory infrastructure and improving academic and research performance in the department, contributing to the graduation of distinguished scientific cadres capable of serving the community and the health sector.
