Al-Mustaqbal University Achieves Global Recognition as One of Its Scientists Is Selected as a Judge for the International Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education Awards With great pride and honor, we announce the selection of Professor Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed, Director of the Energy Research Center at Al-Mustaqbal University, to serve as an international Judge in the prestigious awards of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE). This organization is considered the world’s leading reference for promoting sustainability in higher education and for guiding universities toward becoming greener institutions. This selection came within the Judging Committee category, one of the four main pillars of the association, which include overall impact, innovation, and stakeholder engagement. The appointment represents a distinguished international recognition of the scientific standing and research expertise of the Energy Research Center. Affirming its leadership, Al-Mustaqbal University is proud to be the only Iraqi university officially registered in this global association among all universities in Iraq. The association includes an elite network of approximately 1,280 universities worldwide, including the prestigious Princeton University.
