President of Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the Sixth Session of the Private Higher Education Council
As part of efforts to enhance and develop higher education, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, a member of the Private Higher Education Council, participated in the sixth session of the council. The meeting was held on March 4, 2026, at Al-Zahraa (A.S.) University in Karbala, chaired by Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahad, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs. The session was attended by several directors-general, senior staff members from the ministry, and a number of presidents of private universities in Iraq.
The session highlighted discussions on several important topics related to admission and registration procedures in private universities, where mechanisms and systems required to ensure the smooth implementation of these processes were reviewed. The establishment of new medical colleges was also discussed, emphasizing the importance of providing a competitive educational environment aligned with international standards.
Other important topics addressed during the meeting included taxation matters and institutional requirements that universities must consider to ensure the success of the educational process.
The meeting also praised the tangible scientific achievements of private universities, which contribute to the development of higher education in Iraq. This meeting represents an important step toward strengthening coordination between private universities and the ministry and contributes to improving the quality of education and providing better opportunities for students.
