The Engineering Technical College at Al-Mustaqbal University held an in-person scientific seminar in celebration of Iraqi Women’s Day. The event was organized by the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college in cooperation with the Department of Building and Construction Engineering Technologies, and was attended by a number of faculty members, staff, and a group of students. This event was held under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University and with the follow-up and guidance of the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, as part of the university’s commitment to supporting women and strengthening their role in society and in various scientific and professional fields. The event included a scientific seminar entitled: “The Role of Women in the Development of the Earth, Civil Engineering, and Interior Design to Become Leaders in Design and Organization.” The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Dr. Zainab Hussein Ali and Lecturer Dr. Alaa Hussein Abdul-Ameer. It addressed the importance of empowering women and highlighting their role in engineering and design fields, as well as shedding light on their contributions to the development of the construction sector and their active participation in the process of development. On this occasion, the Dean of the College, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, delivered a speech congratulating Iraqi women on their special day, praising their significant role in building society and their outstanding contributions in the fields of science and work. He also emphasized the college’s continuous support for women’s talents and its commitment to providing an academic environment that fosters creativity and excellence. The seminar also witnessed active interaction from the attendees through discussions and interventions that highlighted the importance of supporting and empowering women and enhancing their participation in various scientific and professional fields.
